How To Enter Cheats On Xbox One — Step‑By‑Step

Players need to open the in-game controller interface. They press buttons in a precise order to activate a cheat. They should save the game before using any cheat to avoid losing progress.

Step 1: Pause the game. The pause menu stops in-game time and lets the player prepare. Step 2: Check the code list. The player finds the exact button sequence for the desired effect. Step 3: Enter the sequence with the controller. The player presses the buttons quickly and in order. The game confirms the cheat with a small message.

Players can also use the phone method. The player opens the in-game phone, selects Contacts, then enters a number that matches a cheat. The phone method activates the same effects as button sequences.

Players should note that some cheats do not work in missions. The game disables mission progress when a cheat is active. Players must exit the mission or reload a save to continue mission progress.

Players should avoid online modes. The game bans cheats from GTA Online. The player must use cheats only in single-player mode. The player risks account action if they try cheats in multiplayer.
